FACE TECHNOLOGY

Every piece of equipment has a beginning. We’re documenting its end.

From manufacturer-assigned equipment identification to responsible end-of-life recovery, FACE is being developed to help partners see the value and impact of what they recycle.

FEDERAL ACCOUNTABILITY & COMPLIANCE EXCHANGE

Documenting the end of the equipment lifecycle.

Manufacturers assign model and serial numbers when equipment enters the marketplace. By capturing identifying information when equipment leaves service, FACE is being developed to connect retired HVAC units with decommissioning, refrigerant recovery and material handling records.

Partner reporting is intended to reveal how much material is recovered and directed into recycling streams—including accepted metals, cardboard and aluminum beverage cans that could otherwise end up in the trash.

Our goal is greater end-of-life traceability, not a claim that FACE currently closes every manufacturer record or independently verifies every downstream destination. Detailed technology and operating methods remain private.

Despite its name and brand artwork, FACE is not a federal government agency or an EPA-issued certification.

Visible partner contributions

Help partners understand quantities recovered and routed toward recycling, including eligible everyday materials.

End-of-life accountability

Support chain-of-custody records from retired equipment through documented recovery and downstream handoffs.
